oh to be flora grubb.

i'd really love one of these:

but it seems as though succulents cannot be purchased in a small town on the prairie in the end of november.

so, i settled for a two dollar jade plant,

played in the dirt for a bit,

and got them just so.

and perish though they may with the dawn..

we all need a bit of earth.
